Rundown of the last 2 months or so..

At the end of school my mom told me I better hurry up and get to Utah because my Grandfather was dying. So I left a day early. Within a week of time- I had lost my grandfather, found out my grandmother has breast cancer, went to the viewing and funeral, my grandma and grandpa were in a car wreck Christmas day and the car my parents were driving was backed into. The will was read and all the emotions that run with that were expressed. And I saw family members act in a manner I never imagined.
Needless to say-- it was a rough break to put it gently. I was able to escape from all of this by going to my dad's parents house for a few days. That was a blessing. I also felt the support and love of my friends and of Randy. I am so grateful for their love and understanding. Not saying my family wasn't there too, but we were all hurting. Things are better now...sort of.
My grandmother has started Chemotherapy and is losing her hair. She always too such good care of her hair. I helped her dye it a number of times. My aunt was put into the hospital for a manic attack. and my aunt Tana's dog Cherrie died. I loved that dog, she is the mother of my dog Alli.
On the upside- I went to Spokane and met Randy's parents. That was wonderful. They were very kind to me and I felt welcome. They live in this 1890 farm house, they have horses and dogs and cats and lots of land. His sister just got into vet school.
Randy took me on a sleigh ride in Jackson Hole for Valentines day. It was so nice to spend the day with him.
I got a job at a dairy. I love being a milk maid even if it is early and I smell afterwards.
I am a lead peer for my horse classes- meaning I am the teacher and have 2 teacher assistants. I couldn't believe they trusted me with that responsibility. This has been a learning experience for sure.
I am taking 347 - a horse behavior class. I am learning soo much about myself and how horses communicate and how to understand them. The horse I have for the semester is Gwenevere. No one here has worked with her, so it has been very exciting that I get to "write her book" in a way.
My mom came and visited me one weekend and my dad came a few weeks later. I was so glad to see them under less stressful circumstances and they got to meet Randy. Chantel is supposed to come at the end of this month.
I am taking O-chem and its HARD! I have never taken a class that was this challenging before.

HORSE BALL!!!!

horseball is the greatest game ever. the end.
At the end of every semester all the horse instructors have a big pot luck and play horseball. horse ball is basically basketball on horseback. Five players per team, and you have to ride bareback and in halters. Each team can pick a theme, my team's theme was clowns. I went to the DI and bought a huge plus size pink with pocka dot shirt. this thing is massive. you could have fit two of me in it.
my team kicked trash! first game was 4-2 and the second 6-1. but now im soo sore. the horse i rode was really bony, his lope was smooth, but ohh if i didnt sit back far enough when he stopped.....OUCH!! im still suffering from that mistake.
My friend emily was on my team and was going to ride a pony...luckily  she switched to a horse at the last minute because none of the horses liked that pony. mine tried to bite him or kick him any chance he could. Once when my team played randy's, he pulled me off my horse....cheater.... haha that was the only time i came off.

brave night

Tonight I terrified. Tonight I thought I might pass out. Tonight I sang.
and had sooo much fun!!!! I love to sing, and I wish I could just remember that and not get so nervous. I sang with Emily Bigler and Donal played the guitar for us. Emily's ward had a ward talent night and asked me to sing with her. I said yes a while ago, but I never thought it would ever happen. I ate my words tonight. I loved it, once I got up there. It helped that all of my roommates and some of my FHE brothers came. There really is nothing like being in front of people and knowing there are at least a few friendly faces out there. We sang "Leave the Pieces" by the Wreckers

Ummm okay...lets see how long this lasts

So Brittany says that blogging is easiest way to keep up with a journal and later I print it out. Sounds good to me, the only thing is I don't know if I will remember to keep up with it.
I love BYU-I!!!!! This truly is one of the greatest places on earth, and better yet I know I am supposed to be here. I live with 3 of my very best friends, and I get to ride horses twice a week, there is a temple right up the hill, I have a supportive family, the Spirit of the Lord is easily felt here, and I am dating the most amazing guy. Can I ask for anything else? The Lord has truly blessed me. :)
